"GreenQueue team on AI Infra Summit Hackathon Hackathon"

Team Idea

GreenQueue — a carbon-aware scheduler for AI compute jobs. Right now, most systems run AI training/inference jobs the moment they're queued, even though electricity isn't equally clean all the time. GreenQueue delays non-urgent jobs to run when the power grid is cleanest (using live carbon-intensity data), while urgent jobs still run instantly. We're building a simulated compute cluster, a scheduler, live carbon-data integration, and a dashboard showing carbon/cost savings vs. a normal scheduler. We're a small team building for the AI Infra Summit Hackathon (online, Sept 10–16). Looking for: a Back-End Developer (scheduler + cluster logic), a Front-End Developer (dashboard/UI), someone into Data and AI (carbon API + data handling), and anyone open to Design or Communications to help polish our demo and pitch. Beginners welcome — enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter more than experience.
