Team Idea
SETTLE measures settling time — how long streaming ASR keeps revising a word after it first appears — then ships a sidecar that holds tokens until they stop changing. The instrument records every Speechmatics message at real-time pace and computes per-word settling time across a 10-clip corpus (1,227 words, four max_delay settings). The sidecar fans one upstream feed into naive and settled streams so downstream consumers can be compared on identical input. Demo domain: emergency dispatch. A partial misheard as "working fire me" triggers a false ELEVATED - FIRE tier on the naive stream; the settled stream (τ = 0.774s) never sees it.
