The Technology You'll Build With

Some of the biggest names in AI infrastructure are joining us for the AI Infra Summit Hackathon. Expect serious technology, ambitious challenges.

Intel joins the hackathon with a focus on robotics and physical AI, exploring how intelligent systems can move beyond the cloud and into the physical world. The track brings together AI, computing, and real-world applications.

Qualcomm joins the hackathon with a focus on on-device AI and the Snapdragon ecosystem, exploring what becomes possible when intelligence runs closer to the user. Builders can experiment with new approaches to local AI and next-generation computing.

SiMa.ai brings a physical AI perspective to the hackathon, focused on intelligence operating closer to the devices and environments where data is created. Builders can explore new ideas across edge AI and real-world applications.

Speechmatics brings voice AI into the mix, giving builders new ways to create applications that work with spoken language. From voice-enabled agents to real-time experiences, speech becomes another interface for building with AI.

Snapdragon and Qualcomm branded products are products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries.

AI Infra Summit Hackathon

Choose Your Challenge Track

Build applications that demonstrate the power of modern AI infrastructure. Every project at the AI Infra Summit Hackathon is built inside a partner-led Challenge Track — you pick a track, you get the technology behind it, and you build with the team that made it. Onsite tracks require assignment ahead of time; online tracks are open build. 🚀

Track Selection Process:

1

Create Your Team. Form your team as soon as possible. Onsite track assignment is only made for participants who are part of a team. Head over to the lablab.ai Discord server to connect with others — we'll also run Team Match-Making rounds ahead of the hackathon.

2

Submit Your Team's Onsite Track Preference. Only required for teams pursuing an onsite track. Team leaders submit the Track Selection Form on behalf of the team, listing all members and their preferred onsite track. Each team will receive confirmation of their assigned track.

3

One Onsite Track Per Team. Teams building an onsite challenge may only be assigned to one onsite track. Online tracks don't require assignment — build with any online track's technology directly.

4

Onsite Eligibility. Only teams working within their assigned onsite track are eligible for onsite participation at the AI Infra Summit.

⚠️ TBD — exact onsite capacity, the Track Selection Form link, and the submission deadline are still being finalized and will be communicated before the hackathon.

Physical AI Challenge

Robotic defect detection, VLA reasoning, and optimized on-device execution

Onsite Intermediate–Advanced SO-101 arm provided

Build an end-to-end Physical AI solution in which an SO-101 robotic arm performs autonomous defect detection and the appropriate physical response. Teams will use Intel Physical AI Studio to design the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) workflow, Anomalib for visual anomaly and defect detection, and OpenVINO to optimize and deploy the pipeline on an Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor.

Intel's Hack-a-thon Resources page documents the exact stack you'll be working in: Physical AI Studio, OpenVINO 2026.3, Anomalib v2.6.0 and LeRobot on PyTorch XPU, running on Ubuntu 24.04 with the Intel NPU and iGPU drivers. It covers how to launch Physical AI Studio, how to verify every component with the included verify_stack.py script, and a troubleshooting table for the errors that come up most often.

Bonus Award

Open To Every Track

Best Use of Speechmatics

Build something people talk to — add it to whichever track you're building in

Bonus Award Onsite + Online No assignment needed

Build something people talk to. We're looking for agents that listen, understand and act on real speech in real time.

This one isn't a track — it's an award on top of the track you're already building in. Add Speechmatics to your project, whichever Challenge Track you picked, and you compete in two categories at once: your track's prizes and Best Use of Speechmatics. Open to onsite and online teams alike, with no separate sign-up and no extra track assignment.

Speechmatics provides state-of-the-art speech-to-text and voice AI, helping teams add accurate transcription and understanding to agents, workflows, and real-time applications.

Build with it

  • Add real-time or batch speech-to-text to agent workflows
  • Build voice-driven automation, transcription, and analysis tools
  • Power multilingual or accent-diverse voice applications
  • Close the loop with text-to-speech and the Voice Agents SDK
  • Drop it into a LiveKit, Pipecat or Vapi pipeline instead of wiring speech yourself

Pick a model

Three speech-to-text models, one API. Whichever you start with, the config is a single model property — so switching mid-build costs you nothing.

  • Enhanced — highest accuracy, Realtime and Batch, with a medical variant for healthcare audio
  • Standard — fastest turnaround when latency and throughput matter more than maximum accuracy, Realtime and Batch
  • Melia 1 — automatic multilingual transcription for audio where speakers switch language mid-conversation; Batch only, and a reduced feature set while it's in early access

Get help from the Speechmatics team

Questions about the API, credits or your build? The Speechmatics team answers on their own Discord server — head there and ask directly. They also run community office hours on Discord, where you can talk your pipeline, edge cases and latency questions through live with the engineers who build the API.
