Team Idea
Building an autonomous options-trading agent for the Alpaca AI Trading Agents Hackathon: a cash-secured put / covered call "wheel" strategy on SPY, running fully hands-off via Alpaca's MCP server and Windows Task Scheduler. The agent checks its own state daily, sells premium-collecting options, and includes a self-monitoring risk guardrail that pauses trading after significant losses. Built solo by a UX/UI designer + AI-assisted developer (Claude Code, Python) from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, new to options trading, but the agent has already been running and logging real, explainable decisions on a paper account for over a week before kickoff.
