"Aurus team on Alpaca AI Trading Agents Hackathon Hackathon"
Team Idea
An autonomous options trading agent on Alpaca, built powerless by construction: the strategy proposes, but it cannot send. Every order crosses independent risk gates it does not control, and the journal records the rejections as well as the fills. One paper book, three lanes — opening-range options during regular hours, an overnight ETF lane in the 24/5 session, and a small convex sleeve with its own lifetime budget. Session state runs through the Alpaca CLI. Every signal was measured before it was allowed to trade, and two of the three we liked most were rejected on the evidence.
