Team Idea
Autonomous options-trading agent on Alpaca's MCP server. It sells defined-risk SPY credit spreads — we don't bet on direction, we collect premium and let time decay pay us, which is the only edge that survives a 4-day competition window. The twist: gold decides, SPY executes. One of us is an experienced gold trader, so his read on GLD/GDX/UUP sets the day's risk regime — how far out of the money we sell, how many positions we hold. Fear means smaller and further out, never bigger. Deterministic Python computes the legal trade envelope BEFORE the AI is called, so the agent is structurally incapable of breaching a risk limit rather than merely instructed not to. A separate audit step re-checks every fill against that envelope and publishes violations publicly.
