Team Idea
ThetaGate is an autonomous, paper-only options trading desk built with Alpaca and AI agents. At the start of each session, and again midday, it analyzes Alpaca’s most-active stocks, market movers, prices, options eligibility, and recent news to create a focused 10–20 symbol watchlist. It calculates volatility and breakout signals in Python, filters real option chains by liquidity, expiration, and delta, then asks an AI proposer to select from those verified contracts rather than inventing trades. Every proposal passes deterministic risk, account, sizing, and portfolio checks before an atomic credit-spread order can reach Alpaca paper trading. ThetaGate also reconciles fills, prevents duplicate orders, manages profit targets and stop-losses, reacts to regime changes, recovers safely after restarts, and exposes activity through a Streamlit dashboard. The result is an explainable agentic trading workflow where AI finds opportunities while code retains control of risk and execution.
