"TrendHunter AI team on Alpaca AI Trading Agents Hackathon Hackathon"

Team Idea

Building TrendHunter AI, an autonomous options-selling agent for Alpaca's Options Alpha Agents track. It scans a fixed watchlist, evaluates cash-secured put setups using IV rank and support levels, challenges its own thesis against contradicting evidence like earnings dates, runs the decision through a deterministic risk gate, and executes approved trades via Alpaca's paper trading API. Every decision produces a structured Trade Autopsy explaining the reasoning. Looking for teammates to help with: FastAPI/Python backend, React/TypeScript frontend and real-time dashboard, and anyone with options trading or quant background to sanity-check strike/risk logic. We're using AI tools (Claude/Gemini) heavily in the build, so comfort working in an AI-assisted workflow is a plus.
