Team Idea
GFUM (Gigemaal Fabric Unified Memory) is a vendor-neutral heterogeneous GPU memory and execution fabric designed to coordinate compute and memory resources across different GPU architectures.
For the AMD Developer Hackathon, the project will focus on extending and physically validating GFUM on AMD ROCm hardware, measuring real GPU memory allocation, data movement, execution, scheduling and AI inference workloads.
The goal is to demonstrate how a heterogeneous runtime can make effective use of AMD GPU compute and memory while remaining part of a broader cross-vendor architecture.
