I'm a Mechanical Engineering student with no prior AI/ML background, using this hackathon to learn AI development from scratch. SpecExtract is my first end-to-end AI project: combining OCR and LLMs to solve a problem I know from the mechanical side — datasheet data entry. Learning in public.
