PARITY: a deterministic trust layer for AI-driven code migration
Bob can translate COBOL to Java in minutes, but migrated code can pass its tests and still round a negative value differently or misread a packed decimal. In payments or claims systems, that's a defect reaching customers.
PARITY automates migration verification. Bob extracts a behavioral contract from the COBOL source, migrates it in Agent mode, and runs parallel subagents generating adversarial inputs for each risky construct (COMP-3, rounding, REDEFINES). PARITY executes the original COBOL (GnuCOBOL) and the migrated code side by side and classifies every field-level difference. If a defect is found, Bob fixes it and PARITY re-verifies until SAFE.
No LLM sits in the verdict path: the result is a signed, replayable SAFE/FLAGGED report tracing each defect to the exact COBOL line. It's built on ASTR-O, my audit SDK for LLM outputs, with only the evaluation gates swapped.
