Every codebase has weird workarounds, odd naming, and "don't touch this" comments — but the reasoning behind them lives in old commit messages, closed PRs, and Slack threads that nobody reads again. When the engineer who wrote it leaves, that knowledge is gone. CodeWhy uses Bob 2.0 to mine a repo's entire history (commits, PR descriptions, code comments, issue references) and reconstruct the decision trail — so any developer can point at a weird piece of code and ask "why is this here?" and get a real, sourced answer.
