Small business owners sign contracts constantly, and most can't afford to have a lawyer review for every single one. The AI tools that exist to help usually paste an actual business contract — real names, real numbers, real terms — into someone else's server. Our solution, Contracty, solves both problems at once: a free, browser-based contract analysis tool where nothing uploaded ever leaves the user's device. Built with IBM Bob using a three-agent pipeline (extraction, risk analysis, and report generation), Contracty scans a contract against 12+ common red flags — indemnification clauses, auto-renewal traps, one-sided liability caps, unilateral modification rights — and explains each finding in plain language. Its standout feature is the EQ Read and Counter: instead of just flagging a clause as risky, it explains the negotiating dynamic behind the wording and generates a real counter-suggestion, phrased the way an actual redline would look.
