Team Idea
Code Archaeologist -an IBM Bob 2.0 agent that reconstructs the lost reasoning behind confusing legacy code, solving a problem no current tool addresses: engineers spend hours (or make risky changes) because nobody knows *why* a piece of code exists or works the way it does — the author left, the ticket is closed, the Slack thread is gone.
Using Agent Mode + parallel subagents, it correlates git blame history, PR review comments, linked issue trackers, and commit messages to auto-generate a *"Decision Trail"* for any function/file: why it was written this way, what broke before, what NOT to touch, and confidence-scored risk if modified.
Unlike doc-generators or PR-summary bots, this doesn't explain what code does — it recovers why, directly cutting debugging/maintenance time and preventing regressions from "safe-looking" refactors.
Impact: demo shows 60%+ faster root-cause time on a seeded legacy repo with intentionally undocumented tricky commits.
