Team Idea

Team QUBOB is a specialized engineering unit focused on high-performance cloud infrastructure, combinatorial optimization, and developer tooling. Led by Anuj Dalvi, our focus bridges quantum-inspired heuristics with production Kubernetes systems. Throughout the IBM Bob 2.0 Hackathon, our team leveraged IBM Bob's multi-agent IDE (Plan, Agent, and Ask modes) to architect, benchmark, and deploy enterprise-gradevoptimization algorithms that drastically reduce cloud latency and egress overhead—without requiring expensive quantum hardware.

QUBOB: Quantum-Inspired Microservice Optimizer

QUBOB maps Kubernetes multi-zone scheduling onto a QUBO Hamiltonian and solves it using Quantum-Inspired Evolutionary Algorithms (QIEA) on classical CPUs—achieving 99.6% latency reduction and sub-0.4 MiB RAM usage natively inside IBM Bob 2.0.
