CodeSensei is an AI-powered developer onboarding copilot built with IBM Bob 2.0 Agent Mode. It helps new developers understand an unfamiliar codebase quickly by running four specialized Bob subagents in parallel: Architecture Mapper, Setup Agent, Codebase Q&A Agent, and First-Task Finder. The agents analyze the repository and generate structured outputs covering the project architecture, setup requirements, codebase questions, and beginner-friendly tasks. CodeSensei then transforms these outputs into an interactive dashboard with Overview, Architecture, Setup, Ask, and First Task sections. Instead of spending hours reading an unfamiliar repository, a developer can use CodeSensei to understand how the project works, how to run it, where important code is located, and what task they should start with—all in one place.
