Team Idea
We’re building an interactive robot experience for Maker Faire Bay Area (Sep 25–27) using a SO-ARM101 robotic arm. The current prototype lets visitors catch prize capsules through master-slave teleoperation. During this hackathon, we want to take it much further by building a physical AI agent that can understand natural-language goals, perceive the environment, plan actions, and autonomously control the robot to find, grasp, and deliver a requested capsule. We’re especially interested in embodied AI, vision-language reasoning, agentic planning, and reliable robot tool execution. The goal is to turn our existing hands-on robot into a much more intelligent and fun Maker Faire experience. We’ll already be in the Bay Area for Maker Faire and would be very excited to participate on-site in San José on Sep 23–24 if selected.
