SkillSwap helps students share knowledge and learn practical skills without needing to exchange money. Many students have useful skills to teach but struggle to find someone who can teach them something new. SkillSwap brings both sides together in one platform. Users can create an account, build a profile, list skills they can teach, and explore skills shared by others. Skill Credits provide a simple way to recognize teaching and use those credits toward learning sessions. The platform is designed for students who want an approachable way to learn from peers and share their own experience. Its dark, animated interface brings skill discovery, profiles, sessions, and community features together. This is a working prototype: Supabase handles account authentication and cloud profile/account data, while some demo activity—such as bookings and messages—currently remains in browser storage and does not sync between devices.
