Fortify Problem Software architectures are often validated through diagrams, design reviews, and theoretical reasoning before implementation. While these approaches help verify how components are expected to interact, they do not show how the architecture behaves when real failures occur. A service may become unavailable, a network connection may introduce significant latency, traffic may suddenly increase, a database may become slow, or an external dependency may fail. These weaknesses are often discovered only during late stage testing or, worse, in production, where failures can cause cascading outages, degraded user experiences, and costly debugging. The challenge is therefore not simply designing an architecture that looks correct, but determining how that architecture actually behaves under controlled failure conditions before production. Solution Fortify is an AI powered architecture resilience testing platform that turns architecture validation into an experiment driven process. Fortify creates a lightweight, runnable representation of a proposed software architecture using isolated services. Users can define or visualize an architecture and select controlled failure scenarios such as service downtime, network latency, traffic spikes, database delays, or dependency failures. The platform executes the experiment, observes runtime telemetry, and identifies how the failure propagates through the system. An AI analysis layer then interprets the collected evidence and explains what failed, why it failed, and which resilience mechanisms could improve the architecture. Suggested improvements may include timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, caching, or asynchronous processing. The key innovation is the closed validation loop. Architecture, Build, Attack, Observe, Diagnose, Improve, and Re test. Instead of stopping at an AI generated recommendation, Fortify runs the same failure scenario again after the proposed improvement and compares the results. This provides experimental evidence of whether the architecture actually became more resilient. Target Users Fortify is designed for software architects, backend engineers, DevOps and SRE teams, and development teams designing distributed or microservice based systems. A team can use it during architecture design or before deployment to identify weaknesses without waiting for production failures. Why It Is Unique Traditional architecture reviews primarily ask whether an architecture looks correct. Fortify asks what actually happens when that architecture starts failing. By combining controlled failure injection, runtime observability, AI assisted diagnosis, and repeatable re testing in one workflow, Fortify moves architecture validation from a largely theoretical exercise toward measurable, experiment driven resilience engineering.
