Most AI trading agents focus on finding trades. Opaca focuses on a harder question: should AI be allowed to commit account capital? Opaca is a PAPER-only autonomous options Wheel agent built around a strict trust boundary. The model may propose intent such as underlying, thesis, willingness-to-own, DTE preference, and confidence. It cannot choose the authoritative OCC contract, quantity, multiplier, limit price, capital reservation, or execution authority. Deterministic software owns those fields and applies six hard checks before any PAPER order can be submitted. The proof is real. Opaca submitted one Alpaca PAPER cash-secured put on XLF: XLF260910P00058000, one $58 PUT, with $5,800 of assignment capital. The order was FILLED and the system reconciled broker order state, the broker short PUT position at fill time, the active reservation, and internal Wheel state to SHORT_PUT_OPEN. Opaca also fails closed. If broker truth becomes ambiguous, the order state becomes UNKNOWN. The submission boundary does not resubmit, cancel, or replace the ambiguous order, and no second CSP is allowed while that leg remains open. The competition build uses Alpaca INDICATIVE option data, not OPRA, and makes no claim of live-funds readiness or alpha. The public dashboard exposes sanitized PAPER metrics while keeping broker credentials server-side. AI reasons. Software enforces. Alpaca executes.
