Cascade Router is an intelligent, token-efficient routing agent designed to solve diverse tasks with maximum accuracy and minimal cost. By functioning as a smart gatekeeper, the system categorizes every incoming request and evaluates whether it can be handled by a local model hosted directly within the container or if it requires escalation to a more powerful cloud-based model. The architecture prioritizes a "Local-First" approach, resolving the majority of tasks using embedded models that incur zero API token costs. Before finalizing an answer, the system enforces a multi-step quality gate that includes automated syntax checks, mathematical verification, and self-consistency validation. These determinist steps ensure that only high-quality results are produced without wasting resources. When a task exceeds the capability of the local environment, the router seamlessly escalates it to specialized remote models via the Fireworks AI API. This cascading logic allows the agent to maintain high performance across complex categories like code debugging and logical reasoning while keeping total token consumption significantly lower than standard single-model deployments. The entire solution is packaged as a self-contained, high-performance Docker image, ensuring it runs efficiently and reliably within the competition's evaluation environment.
