LearnLens AI-Autonomous Multimodal Learning Agent
### The Problem & Industry Challenge Modern engineering upskilling and continuous learning are severely bottlenecked by video consumption. Developers, technical teams, and students spend 40 to 100+ hours watching online lecture series, workshops, and architectural walkthroughs. However, video is a passive, locked format: 80% of actionable knowledge (architectural diagrams, terminal commands, equations, and code snippets) is trapped within streaming pixels with zero searchability. Learners face severe cognitive friction when constantly switching contexts between watching and manually taking notes, resulting in an estimated 40% drop in concept retention. Manual screenshotting produces blurry, disorganized archives. Furthermore, standard AI summarizers rely on raw, unstructured transcript dumps that completely omit visual slide changes and lack grounded citations. ### The Proposed Solution LearnLens AI is a local-first, autonomous multimodal learning companion designed to bridge the gap between passive video viewing and permanent knowledge mastery. Operating directly on user-authorized Chrome tabs (Coursera, YouTube, Udemy, and enterprise webinars), LearnLens AI passively observes lecture content, detects genuine slide changes, captures timestamped transcripts, and instantly synthesizes production-ready study artifacts. ### Target Users 1. **Enterprise Software Engineers & Architects:** Rapidly onboarding onto new codebases, frameworks, or enterprise modernization programs without spending dozens of hours watching video recordings. 2. **STEM Students & Lifelong Learners:** Preparing for technical certifications and academic exams through automated visual revision packs. 3. **Corporate Training & L&D Teams:** Automatically converting internal video workshops into structured training manuals and verifiable presentation decks. ### How Users Interact with LearnLens AI 1. **Sub-50ms Chrome Observation:** With one click, users share an educational Chrome tab. The stream initializes instantaneously with zero browser permission delays. 2. **Passive Real-Time Ingestion:** As the video plays, the agent automatically captures genuine slide transitions via difference hashing (dHash) and streams speech live with a word-by-word ticker. 3. **1-Click Artifact Generation:** Users can export full-bleed 16:9 widescreen PowerPoint (.pptx) decks, publication-grade ReportLab PDF study packs, and dynamic quizzes with a single click. 4. **Interactive AI Teacher:** Learners ask doubts and receive grounded answers that quote the exact lecture timestamp (e.g., [04:18]) and display the verified slide screenshot as evidence. 5. **Autonomous HyperIngest Studio:** Users can run an autonomous Auto-Pilot script with automated course progression (2x–16x speed) to ingest an 11-hour lecture series in under 15 minutes. ### Creativity, Uniqueness & Efficiency - **Client-Side Visual Deduplication:** In-memory 16x9 thumbnail diffing suppresses 85% of redundant frames, keeping network and server load minimal. - **Dual Audio Pipeline:** Leverages client Web Speech STT for zero-CPU voice transcription alongside containerized Faster-Whisper (int8, VAD) for tab audio. - **Zero-Hallucination Grounding:** Eliminates AI hallucinations by binding every concept strictly to captured OCR text and timestamped audio chunks. - **Production Scalability:** Runs on an optimized SQLite engine with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) and compound B-tree indexing for sub-millisecond query execution.
