NOVA is an end-to-end AI research workspace built for students, research assistants, professors, and lab administrators. It transforms a research question into a structured plan, searches multiple academic sources, analyzes the retrieved literature, maps the knowledge landscape, identifies evidence-backed research gaps, formulates testable hypotheses, designs experiments, and generates a complete research proposal. Unlike a basic AI writing tool, NOVA preserves evidence scope and research provenance throughout the workflow. Its Writing Studio supports human-authored and AI-assisted modes, version history, private document uploads, citation management, journal-guideline extraction, manuscript validation, similarity analysis, reviewer comments, author sign-off, and professional DOCX, PDF, LaTeX, and Markdown exports. NOVA also provides role-specific university workflows. Students receive topic guidance, paper simplification, research roadmaps, and thesis support, while verified professors and lab administrators can access literature intelligence, structured peer review, grant discovery, collaborator analysis, supervision tools, and research-lab analytics. The platform uses secure authentication, row-level database authorization, verified privileged roles, rate-limited server workflows, and private document storage. Every AI-generated result is presented as decision support with human-review gates rather than as guaranteed scientific truth or publication acceptance.
