Zion Study Agent is a multimodal AI-powered learning assistant designed to help students understand academic content, practice effectively, and receive personalized feedback. The system is designed to analyze study materials such as PDFs, exercise sheets, notes, and images of exams, using OCR and vision capabilities to extract and interpret relevant information. From this content, the agent aims to explain concepts step by step, generate exercises based on the student’s current level, evaluate answers, identify recurring difficulties, and adapt future learning activities accordingly. The goal is to create a more active and personalized study experience instead of simply providing direct answers. The project is being developed individually within Zion AI Lab, with AI-assisted tools supporting research, coding, prototyping, testing, and learning. The planned technical direction includes AMD infrastructure, ROCm-compatible AI workloads, multimodal models, OCR, language models, and agent-based workflows. These technologies will be added to the implementation and submission as they are integrated and tested during the AMD AI Academy Challenge.
