About me
My name is Sai Mahir, and I am a B.Tech Computer Science Engineering student at GITAM. I am passionate about technology, web development, and learning new skills. I enjoy exploring ideas, solving problems, and working with others to build meaningful projects. I believe competitions are a great opportunity to gain practical experience, improve my confidence, and learn from different perspectives. I am always willing to take on challenges and step outside my comfort zone. My goal is to become a skilled software developer, create useful solutions, and continue growing both personally and professionally while making my parents proud.

SinQ_
SynQ is an engineering knowledge and memory platform designed to solve a common problem in software teams: critical knowledge is scattered across code, documentation, Jira tickets, incidents, architecture decisions, and experienced employees. SynQ connects these sources into a unified, searchable knowledge system where developers can understand not just what was built, but why it was built, who owns it, what it depends on, and what happened before. Developers can explore services, people, architecture decisions, incidents, requirements, and their relationships through the Knowledge Explorer and Knowledge Graph. With Before You Change, a developer can select a service and instantly see important ADRs, recent incidents, critical dependencies, current owners, open requirements, and documented gotchas before making changes. SynQ also provides a grounded AI assistant powered by a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline. When a developer asks a question, SynQ retrieves relevant knowledge from the connected data and provides it to Google Gemini, which generates an answer supported by source citations. When sufficient evidence is unavailable, the system explicitly indicates that instead of presenting unsupported information. The platform also preserves institutional knowledge through structured Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), connects incidents to affected services and decisions, and creates personalized developer onboarding plans with automatically generated reading lists and contextual AI assistance. Technically, SynQ is built with React + TypeScript on the frontend, FastAPI + Python on the backend, and PostgreSQL with pgvector for structured data, relationships, and semantic search. Knowledge can be ingested from repositories, documents, Jira and manually created records. Ultimately, SynQ transforms scattered engineering information into connected organizational memory, helping teams onboard developers faster, preserve the reasoning behind technical decisions, reduce repeated mistakes, and give developers the context they need to make informed changes.
