Shipping a mobile app does not end when the code is finished. Developers still have to manually inspect their app, prepare store metadata, verify release requirements, generate screenshots, configure store listings, manage credentials, and navigate complex publishing workflows. A small mistake can lead to failed submissions, wasted time, and frustrating review cycles. BobShip is an AI-powered release engineer designed to automate this final and often overlooked stage of software development. A developer connects their mobile application repository to BobShip. BobShip analyzes the actual codebase and project configuration to understand the application, including its platform, package identifier, features, permissions, authentication flows, dependencies, assets, and existing release configuration. It then produces an evidence-based release-readiness report that identifies potential blockers and missing requirements before the developer submits the app. BobShip can generate store-ready descriptions, release notes, metadata, and release assets based on the application's real implementation rather than requiring developers to manually rewrite everything. It also prepares the release workflow for app stores such as Google Play, with an architecture designed to support additional stores such as Apple's App Store. The developer remains in control of sensitive and irreversible actions. Developers connect their own store accounts and credentials, while BobShip securely manages the connection server-side. Before a release is submitted, BobShip presents the planned actions for human approval. The target users are indie developers, startup teams, agencies, and small development teams that repeatedly ship mobile applications but do not want to spend hours navigating store consoles and release checklists. What makes BobShip different is that it treats release as an engineering workflow rather than simply a form-filling task. The repository is the source of truth, AI reasoning is grounded in the actual application, and the system combines analysis, compliance checks, asset generation, and release preparation into one workflow. BobShip's goal is simple: once the developer says the app is ready, BobShip handles the tedious work required to get it ready for the store.
