UnfoldX - Muti-Agent Orchestration Layer
Developers today juggle six or more AI coding tools daily, and 50% lose over 10 hours a week to the friction of switching between agents, models, and interfaces that don't share context or accountability. Each tool requires its own install, its own login, and its own mental model - and none of them know what the others are doing, which leads to duplicated work, budget overruns, and silent file conflicts. UnfoldX solves this by turning fragmented, single-agent AI coding into one transparent, cost-aware workspace, with IBM Bob 2.0 as the orchestration layer. Instead of opening five separate tools, a developer brings a task to Bob on a shared visual canvas. Bob Shell — the intelligent routing layer - decomposes the task into subtasks in real time, scores every candidate agent on capability fit and estimated cost against remaining budget, and routes each subtask to the best-fit headless agent (GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, Codex, Gemini, or Claude Code), all without the developer installing or authenticating into each tool individually. Every decision Bob makes is visible and auditable: a live event feed streams every routing decision, dispatch, and handoff as it happens; a real-time budget ledger tracks per-agent spend so there are no surprise costs; and a conflict-detection layer flags overlapping file edits before agents silently overwrite each other's work. Every agent output becomes a structured, hash-chained handoff object, so the full provenance of a build - who did what, why, and at what cost - is tamper-evident and traceable from request to result. Nothing ships without role-gated human approval. UnfoldX's target users are developers and engineering teams who already rely on multiple AI coding agents but currently manage them as disconnected silos - solo developers who want cost control and a single pane of glass, and teams who need shared visibility and conflict-safety when several people and several agents touch the same codebase at once. What makes UnfoldX distinct isn't just multi-agent orchestration - plenty of tools route between models. It's that Bob's routing decisions, cost tracking, and provenance are all first-class, visible parts of the workflow rather than hidden infrastructure. A developer can see exactly why Bob chose one agent over another, watch budget deplete live, and audit the entire chain of custody on a piece of code after the fact. This turns AI-assisted development from a black box into something an engineering team can actually govern - addressing the tool -fragmentation problem not by adding another agent, but by making the orchestration layer itself transparent, accountable, and cost-disciplined.
