KILLJOY is an autonomous AI options trading system built on Alpaca that doesn't just search for trades—it tries to prove them wrong. KILLJOY follows a multi-stage decision pipeline: real-time market and options data flows into an AI Market Analyst, which identifies market conditions and opportunities. An AI Strategy Agent proposes an appropriate options strategy, while a separate Kill Agent acts as an adversary and actively searches for reasons the trade should fail. The agents debate the thesis before the proposal reaches portfolio validation and a deterministic risk engine. Eight deterministic risk gates provide the final veto, including maximum risk per trade, daily loss limits, options and underlying exposure limits, minimum risk/reward, buying-power requirements, position limits, and minimum confidence. AI outputs are schema-validated, and deterministic fallbacks prevent model failures from reaching execution. Approved trades are executed through Alpaca's paper-trading infrastructure with duplicate-order protection and quote validation. KILLJOY supports Long Calls, Long Puts, Bull Call Spreads, Bear Put Spreads, and Iron Condors. It also manages positions with take-profit, stop-loss, trailing-stop, and time-based exits. What makes KILLJOY different is what happens after it says NO. Rejected opportunities are recorded and analyzed through counterfactual estimates, Kill Agent precision, decision receipts, strategy lifecycle tracking, and agent disagreement metrics. Postmortems can feed bounded improvements back into the system. The result is a closed autonomous loop: FIND → PROPOSE → ATTACK → DEBATE → VALIDATE → TRADE → MEASURE → LEARN KILLJOY doesn't just ask, "What should I trade?" It asks, "Why shouldn't I trade this?"
