DevFlow AI — Intelligent Developer Workflow
Problem Software debugging and maintenance are often fragmented across multiple steps. Developers need to reproduce an issue, inspect frontend and backend code, identify the root cause, implement a fix, run tests, verify the result, and document the change. These tasks can require significant manual effort and context switching, especially when a bug involves multiple files or layers of an application. Solution DevFlow AI is an AI-powered developer workflow automation platform designed to streamline this process into a single guided workflow. A developer starts by selecting a sample or real project and choosing an issue to investigate. DevFlow AI analyzes the project structure and coordinates multiple specialized agents, including a Debugging Agent, Testing Agent, Security/Quality Agent, and Documentation Agent. The Debugging Agent analyzes the selected issue and identifies its likely root cause and affected files. DevFlow AI then generates a concrete suggested code fix. The developer can review and apply the proposed change directly to the project. After the fix is applied, the Testing Agent executes the project's real Jest test suite and compares the testing state before and after the change. DevFlow AI then verifies whether the selected bug has actually been resolved rather than assuming that the fix worked. Finally, the system generates a final report containing the root cause, files changed, code modification, verification status, testing results, and workflow timeline. Target Users DevFlow AI is intended for software developers, development teams, students, and engineering teams working on application debugging, testing, maintenance, and code-quality workflows. Interaction Users interact with the platform through a dashboard that guides them through ten stages: project selection, structure analysis, bug selection, agent execution, root-cause analysis, suggested fix, fix application, testing, verification, and final reporting. What Makes It Unique Instead of providing only an AI-generated explanation or code suggestion, DevFlow AI connects the complete workflow. It combines project analysis, specialized agents, actionable fixes, real test execution, verification, and documentation into one process. The prototype demonstrates this using an intentionally buggy React + Express TaskFlow application. For example, DevFlow AI identified a frontend/backend API contract mismatch where the backend returned name while the frontend expected username, generated the appropriate fix, applied it, executed the Jest suite, and verified the selected bug.
