PR Guardian addresses a common problem in software development: Pull Request reviews are often slow, inconsistent, overly broad, and dependent on the availability and expertise of individual reviewers. Important defects may be missed, while developers can also be overwhelmed by speculative or low-value feedback. Our solution is an AI-powered Pull Request review system that automatically analyzes the scope of a change, identifies the affected technical domains, and routes the PR only to the specialists that are materially relevant. These specialists include code correctness, security, database, API, architecture, and asynchronous/queue review. Each specialist works independently, using the PR context, changed code, domain-specific rules, and only the evidence required for its review. Findings must follow a strict evidence-based contract and are initially marked as unverified. High-impact or uncertain findings can then be evaluated by a separate verification stage, which attempts to prove or refute them using targeted static inspection or narrowly scoped tests. The target users are development teams, maintainers, technical leads, and organizations that need more reliable and auditable code reviews, especially when working with complex or security-sensitive systems. Users provide a GitHub Pull Request reference, and PR Guardian automatically collects the context, performs triage, runs the relevant reviewers, validates their outputs, and generates structured reports. What makes PR Guardian unique is its multi-agent review architecture combined with deterministic enforcement. AI is used for reasoning, while Python controls routing, validation, artifact persistence, verification rules, classification, and final report generation. Specialists do not see each other’s findings, reducing confirmation bias, and the verifier is explicitly separated from the reviewers: “Reviewers find. Verifier proves.” The platform is model-agnostic. It can run fully locally with Ollama for privacy-sensitive environments, or use external AI providers through API keys when teams prefer cloud-based models, higher-capacity services, or existing enterprise AI infrastructure. This flexibility allows organizations to balance privacy, performance, cost, and deployment requirements without changing the review architecture. The final output includes structured JSON, a human-readable Markdown review, specialist summaries, verification evidence, execution status, and an auditable run manifest. Verified HIGH or CRITICAL findings become blocking issues, while remaining active findings are classified as advisory. By combining specialized AI reasoning, evidence requirements, targeted verification, flexible model integration, and deterministic reporting, PR Guardian makes Pull Request review more focused, efficient, explainable, and trustworthy.
