ARINDEX India
Airfare prices in India change continuously across routes, booking windows, and travel periods, while official airfare statistics are generally available at a periodic reporting frequency. This creates a gap between timely airfare movements and broader statistical analysis. ARINDEX India addresses this challenge by transforming real-time airfare observations and official statistical data into a unified, analytical airfare intelligence platform. ARINDEX integrates two key data sources: the official MoSPI Consumer Price Index airfare series for domestic passenger transport (07.3.3.1) and a licensed live Google Flights fare feed. The collected observations pass through validation and data-quality processing before being used by the platform's APIx v1.0.0 index engine. The core of ARINDEX is a configuration-driven modified-Laspeyres route-weighted methodology. It uses a 16-route domestic route basket and booking-window analysis to calculate route-level price movements and combine them into an overall airfare index. The platform also provides a calculation breakdown, route and airline contributions, missing-route renormalization, and transparent source classification. Users interact with ARINDEX through a modern web dashboard. The platform provides interactive views for index trends, year-over-year and month-over-month movements, seasonality, route analysis, booking-window analysis, and combined CPI airfare analysis. It supports 2D, isometric, and WebGL 3D visualizations to make complex airfare patterns easier to explore. ARINDEX goes beyond historical reporting. Its forecasting capabilities provide 1–3 month forward index projections with 80% and 95% confidence bands, while its anomaly-detection system identifies significant route-level airfare surges and unusual price movements. The platform also supports automated reports in PDF and Excel formats, monthly statistical bulletin generation, and threshold-based email or webhook alerts. The target users include analysts, researchers, statistical teams, decision-makers, and anyone who needs structured insight into domestic airfare movements. Role-based access with ADMIN, ANALYST, and VIEWER roles provides controlled access to platform capabilities. Technically, ARINDEX combines React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Recharts, and ECharts GL on the frontend with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, APScheduler, and PostgreSQL on the backend. JWT authentication, RBAC, scheduled ingestion, Docker-based deployment, automated testing, and CI workflows support a robust end-to-end system. What makes ARINDEX distinctive is the combination of real airfare observations, official statistical data, a dedicated index methodology, interactive analytics, forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated reporting in one platform. Instead of merely displaying individual flight prices, ARINDEX converts continuously changing airfare data into meaningful market-level intelligence for understanding how domestic airfares move across India.
