ReleasePilot AI is an autonomous software-engineering command center designed to reduce the time, effort, and errors involved in taking an unfamiliar software repository from problem discovery to verified release readiness. Software teams often have to manually understand unfamiliar repositories, trace bugs, identify affected components, plan changes, generate tests, review changes, assess dependencies and configuration risks, prepare releases, and verify deployment readiness. These activities are fragmented across tools and require repeated context switching and manual coordination. ReleasePilot AI turns that process into one continuous, stateful engineering workflow: ONBOARD → UNDERSTAND → PLAN → DEBUG/DEVELOP → TEST → REVIEW → MAINTAIN → RELEASE CHECK → DEPLOY → VERIFY The product provides repository onboarding, architecture understanding, health reporting, autonomous run orchestration, structured activity logs, findings, test results, review information, release-risk analysis, approval gates, deployment preparation, and final engineering reports. For the hackathon demonstration, ReleasePilot includes a seeded E-Commerce Platform repository with intentionally introduced issues such as a password-reset bug, failing tests, missing edge-case coverage, dependency/configuration risks, documentation mismatches, and deployment-readiness issues. The system walks the judge through repository understanding, impact analysis, root-cause reasoning, proposed remediation, generated tests, review, measurable before/after evidence, release readiness, and a human approval gate. A key design principle is truthful execution status. Actions are explicitly distinguished as ANALYZED, PROPOSED, SIMULATED, EXECUTED, BLOCKED, or REQUIRES_APPROVAL. Demo repository writes and production deployment are safely simulated, while the local Proof Mode provides guarded verification against a bundled fixture repository with restricted commands and captured execution evidence. ReleasePilot also provides a Nexus Command Center that acts as a living engineering view of repository architecture, risks, dependencies, evidence, decisions, workflow history, and release confidence. The result is a single developer experience that connects repository understanding, autonomous engineering workflow, verification, and release decision-making while keeping the human in control at critical approval boundaries.
