Pocketful is a complete payments service built end-to-end by an AI dark factory: three agent seats — a coordinator, an implementer and a reviewer — working together in a single Band room. The entire run was launched by exactly one human message at 09:50:42 CEST on 2026-10-05. After that message, no further human input entered the room: every handoff, verdict and closing report is seat-to-seat traffic. The factory worked under written, generic mandates. The coordinator dispatched each stage and closed it only on the reviewer's verdict; the implementer built in slices, each ending in a git commit plus an updated STATE.md; the reviewer independently re-ran the official checks and examined the delivered output against the requirements item by item. All three seats ran the opencode harness with qwen/qwen3.8-27b. The review was real. Twice the reviewer sent work back: in stage 2 it caught three defects the shipped checks had missed — an undefined error element in the void handler, a capture field pre-filled with a raw minor-unit value that would have submitted a 100× amount, and a stale RUN.md. In stage 3 it caught a historical-balance defect: a hold could register before the authorization that created it existed. Both stages were repaired, re-verified and only then closed. The result: all four stages complete — 147/147, 35/35, 6/6 and 5/5 on the official checks, highest_contiguous = 4, measured on the closing revision and re-measured afterwards from a fresh clone. Total wall-clock time was about 7 hours 14 minutes. The measured cost — account spend over the run window, derived from the provider's billing totals — was 10.16 USD. The run even survived two host machine swaps without losing work, because everything lived in commits and state notes on disk. The repository contains the full story: FACTORY.md with the design decisions, timeline, failures and lessons; the three mandates; the unedited room log; and all four stage folders, each a complete, Dockerized service.
