Most AI trading bots fail user trust because they operate like black boxes: people never truly know why they open a trade or why they suddenly exit during market volatility. Alpaca XAI Agent fixes this by putting transparency first through a 4-step process: Pre-Trade Hypothesis: Before making any trade, the AI writes a strict JSON record outlining its rationale, target price, and specific invalidation conditions. No validated rationale means no trade. Execution: Validated plans are executed automatically via Alpaca Paper Trading. Continuous Audit: Every 15 minutes, a background worker checks if active positions still match the original thesis using live market updates. Post-Mortem Memory: When a position closes, the AI analyzes its performance and saves the lessons into long-term vector memory to avoid repeating past mistakes.
