ImpactProof is a developer workflow tool for investigating the effects of code changes. It analyzes a repository’s changes and dependencies to predict which files and symbols may be affected, then runs deterministic proof scenarios to check what actually happens. The dashboard separates predicted impact from proven behavior. A dependency appearing in the impact graph means it could be affected; it does not mean a failure occurred. Regression evidence comes from scenario execution and an expected-versus-actual comparison. When a regression is proven, IBM Bob can help interpret the evidence, explain the likely root cause, and propose a targeted fix. ImpactProof then supports applying and verifying that fix, with an undo option for Bob’s recorded change. Deterministic analysis and proof remain the source of truth for impact and verification.
