Problem: Manual code review is slow, inconsistent, and easy to get wrong under time pressure. Developers often skip deep review passes reading every changed file, checking for missing validation, verifying error handling patterns, and confirming test coverage because it takes significant time and focus that competing priorities don't leave room for. This leads to bugs, security gaps, and untested code reaching production. Solution: This project demonstrates IBM Bob 2.0 automating a full review → remediation → verification cycle on a real, production-style Node.js/Express/Mongoose codebase. Bob analyzed the existing code, identified issues, implemented fixes, and generated and ran tests confirming the fixes introduced no regressions, completing in roughly 30-60 minutes what would typically take a developer significantly longer to do manually and reliably. The same discipline (implement with Bob, verify with a full test run) was then repeated across six additional feature-development tasks, ending with a fully tested backend suite: 176/176 tests passing across 8 test suites. Target users: Developers and engineering teams who want to speed up their code review and QA cycle without sacrificing rigor particularly useful for solo developers or small teams without dedicated reviewers. What makes this unique: Rather than treating Bob as a code generator, this project uses Bob to enforce a repeatable engineering discipline to analyze, fix, verify across every single change made to the codebase, proving the pattern holds at scale across nine distinct tasks, not just once.
