Software releases often require developers to manually inspect different parts of a project, including source code, tests, documentation, configuration, and build or deployment readiness. This fragmented process can make it easy to miss issues, repeat checks, and spend unnecessary time preparing an application for release. DevFlow AI addresses this problem by providing a coordinated AI-powered release-readiness workflow. Instead of treating release preparation as a collection of unrelated manual checks, DevFlow AI organizes the process into a structured flow: Analyze → Findings → Action Plan → Fix/Review → Re-analyze → Release Readiness. The system is designed around several important project-health areas, including Code Health, Test Health, Documentation, Configuration, and Build/Release Readiness. It analyzes a project and presents findings in a centralized developer dashboard, helping developers understand what needs attention and turning those findings into a prioritized action plan. The project also includes a synthetic sample project containing realistic development issues so that the workflow can be demonstrated and validated without using confidential, personal, or client data. Our target users are software developers and development teams who need a more organized way to perform pre-release checks and application maintenance. The developer interacts with DevFlow AI through the dashboard, reviews detected findings, follows the recommended action plan, makes appropriate changes, and can re-run the analysis to validate the project again. What makes the project distinctive is its focus on the complete developer workflow rather than simply providing a generic AI chatbot. DevFlow AI combines specialized analysis areas, centralized findings, actionable recommendations, re-analysis, and release-readiness reporting into one workflow. IBM Bob 2.0 is also an important part of our development process. Our team used Bob across planning, implementation, frontend development, backend development, debugging, testing, documentation, and project validation. This allowed us to use AI assistance throughout the software-development workflow while keeping the final application focused on a specific developer productivity problem.
