An autonomous AI trading agent built on Alpaca's Trading API and official MCP server. Claude has direct, unmediated control. It monitors the market (SPY, QQQ, and other liquid S&P 500 names it selects itself), decides what to trade and when, executes defined-risk options spreads, and adjusts its own strategy based on results, all without human intervention once running. It operates within three hard-coded safety backstops it cannot override: every position must be a genuine defined-risk spread (no naked legs), the price paid can never exceed what the spread could possibly be worth, and no single trade can risk more than 15% of account equity — plus an automatic shutdown if the account ever drops 15% in a day. It's currently live and running unattended on a $100k paper account, with the full decision trail logged for auditability.
