Eventus Algorithm
Eventus (Options Alpha Agents) is an autonomous options agent on Alpaca. It self-schedules its session — discover, scan, manage, cutoff, verify, report — decides without a human gate, and survives failed cycles and restarts. It runs three books against one paper account, deliberately kept apart: Carry: defined-risk short premium (iron condors) on rich implied volatility, held three to ten sessions. Intraday: a long front-expiry option on a VWAP trigger, flat by 15:15 ET. Events: a vertical debit spread held overnight through a confirmed earnings print, in its own process with its own capital. A capital firewall keeps them apart: the carry book reserves its requirement off Reg T first, the transient books lease what is left, and a ledger maps every leg to its book, so the 15:15 flatten never touches a multi-session condor. The design principle is that nothing that reasons is allowed to authorise. Every idea runs one ordered pipeline: strategy gates → modelled round-trip cost → LLM critic → risk engine → partner adapters → execution. The critic scores and reasons and may decline; it cannot approve. Partners veto only. Only the risk engine emits the signed stamp the router demands, and it refuses any structure without a computable maximum loss; defined risk enforced in code, not by convention. Size comes from max loss, never from capital. Alpaca is used on both surfaces: MCP is the read interface behind a seven-tool allowlist, the CLI is the write path, so every order is a replayable shell command. Backtest and live agent run the same stages, with no lookahead by construction. Two things make it unusual. A gate-by-gate rejection log records, for every declined candidate, which gate stopped it and the metric that did it — most agents show their trades; this one shows its refusals. And costs are modelled explicitly (clearing, ORF, CAT, TAF, SEC, exchange fees, margin interest, spread charged inside the fills), because paper trading charges nothing and fills at mid.
