Code review is one of the most time-consuming and inconsistent parts of a developer's workflow. Every time someone opens a Pull Request, a teammate has to manually read through every changed line, check whether tests were added, search for security issues that aren't obvious at a glance, and judge how risky the change actually is. This process typically takes 20 to 30 minutes per PR, depends heavily on the reviewer's experience and attention level, and causes Pull Requests to pile up waiting for review. It's a problem nearly every software team runs into, regardless of size or industry. RevisorIA solves this by using IBM Bob 2.0 to perform the review automatically. When a Pull Request is analyzed, three specialized Bob subagents — Security, Tests, and Documentation — run in parallel to inspect the change from different angles: the Security subagent looks for hardcoded credentials, unvalidated input, and unsafe patterns; the Tests subagent checks whether the changed code has corresponding test coverage; and the Documentation subagent verifies whether the README and inline docs still reflect the actual state of the code. Because these subagents run in parallel rather than sequentially, a review that would take a person half an hour comes back in seconds. Bob's document understanding capability is also used, allowing the orchestrator to read a repository's README and PR description as context before delegating to the subagents.
