Augur is an autonomous SPY options agent built for disciplined, transparent paper trading through Alpaca. Every five minutes during the trading session, it receives account, position, and live market context; interprets the auction using Auction Market Theory; forms a falsifiable directional thesis; and chooses to hold, buy a qualifying call or put, or manage an existing position. The system combines model-driven reasoning with deterministic safeguards. Entry proposals are checked for contract quality, delta, expiry, quote freshness, spread, buying power, and loss limits before submission. A separate risk watcher enforces stops, break-even moves, profit targets, and session-close protection. Every decision, tool call, order, and broker-reported fill is stored in an immutable Firestore audit record and published through a live audit site, making the agent’s reasoning and execution independently inspectable.
