Software teams lose time to two habits: developers spend roughly 12.5% of their work week on code review, and about 45% of their time fixing bugs or paying down technical debt instead of building features (Codacy, 2023 survey of 680 companies). ProofFix is an agentic code-quality loop built entirely with IBM Bob that targets both. Unlike AI review tools that stop at suggesting a fix, ProofFix proves each bug is real before fixing it: it writes a failing test to demonstrate the bug, applies the minimal patch, reruns the full test suite to verify nothing else broke, then coaches the developer on the root cause and how to avoid it next time. The target users are individual developers and small engineering teams who want reliable, evidence-backed code review without hiring more reviewers. A developer points ProofFix at a codebase; it returns ranked findings, proven fixes with passing tests, and a scored report they can act on immediately. On a seeded test case (a small Python module with five deliberately planted bugs spanning security, logic, edge cases, money arithmetic, and maintainability), ProofFix found 5/5 seeded bugs, reproduced and fixed all 5 with the full suite green, and completed in 7 minutes versus an estimated 225 minutes of manual work — a ~32x speedup. What makes this unique is the proof-before-fix discipline: every finding ships with a failing test as evidence, not just an opinion, and every fix is verified against the whole suite before it's reported as done. A live interactive dashboard replays each proof, and IBM Bob session screenshots document the real build process.
