Cloud infrastructure drift happens when deployed resources no longer match the configuration approved in Infrastructure as Code. A manually changed security group, an oversized instance, or a public storage setting can silently increase cost, create security exposure, and make deployments unpredictable. Teams often discover these discrepancies late, after an incident or compliance review, because investigating Terraform state and translating technical differences into business risk takes time. 3ntropy Drift Detector makes drift visible, understandable, and actionable. It is an interactive bilingual web experience for platform engineers, security teams, and technical decision-makers. Users choose a simulated infrastructure scenario, including healthy, low-, medium-, and high-risk drift examples. The application derives the intended baseline from Terraform, compares it with the simulated actual state through an MCP server, calculates a risk score, and presents clear findings, impact, and prioritized remediation recommendations. Rather than showing users only raw Terraform output, 3ntropy converts infrastructure changes into a decision-ready workflow. A tag mismatch is presented as low operational risk; an unexpected instance resize is treated as a cost and capacity concern; open SSH access or public storage are prioritized as high-risk security findings. Each result includes bilingual explanations, recommended actions, and an approval-oriented remediation path. The solution is creative because it connects three perspectives that are usually fragmented: Terraform’s declared intent, MCP-powered drift analysis, and an AI-assisted human review process. The dashboard provides an accessible visual narrative for stakeholders, while the console exposes a more technical workflow for engineers. This allows the same platform to support both fast executive understanding and practical investigation. For safe demonstration, 3ntropy uses deterministic simulated scenarios and Terraform planning with refresh disabled. It does not apply infrastructure changes or require cloud credentials. In a production implementation, the same architecture can connect to a cloud provider’s real state and integrate approval channels such as Slack before any remediation is executed. 3ntropy turns infrastructure drift from an opaque technical discrepancy into a prioritized, explainable, and human-governed security and reliability decision.
