A ZIP archive can open perfectly on the sender’s computer and still cause problems on the recipient’s. For example, a project archive might contain both `Logo.png` and `logo.png`. Those files can coexist on a case-sensitive filesystem, but their names collide in a typical Windows folder. The recipient may only discover the problem when they try to unpack the archive. ZipCheck adds a quick compatibility check before a file handoff. A user uploads a ZIP, and a backend running on a Vultr VM inspects the archive’s file list without extracting its contents. The first version checks for filenames that differ only by capitalization, reserved Windows names such as `AUX.txt`, and names that end in a period. The report highlights the exact paths involved and suggests what to rename so the sender can rebuild and recheck the ZIP before sharing it. Why we designed this? Because we think that developers sending project assets or designers uploading their work to a client might stumble across this minimalistic, yet hard to locate in split second moment. Using ZipCheck you might someday save your time and if everything works perfectly rechecking as a act of self-insurance will never be wasteful.
