Debugging is one of the most time-consuming parts of software development. When a bug is reported, developers must manually read the report, trace it to the relevant code, understand the root cause, write a fix, write a test to confirm the fix actually works and prevents regression, and verify nothing else broke ,a process that can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on codebase familiarity and bug complexity. this is the bottleneck The goal is to close the gap between "AI suggests a fix" and "AI proves the fix works" reducing debugging time while maintaining the trust and rigor a human reviewer would expect (evidence, not just a guess). Build a Spring Boot backend + React frontend agent that accepts a bug report and a remote Git repository URL, then executes a five-stage pipeline: Clone the target repo. Extract context (relevant source files) and send it to IBM watsonx.ai for root-cause analysis. Ask watsonx.ai for a fix proposal (unified diff / patched file content). Apply the patch to the cloned repo and ask watsonx.ai to generate a JUnit regression test. Run the test suite (mvn test or ./gradlew test) in the patched repo and return the full result. The pipeline is synchronous and stateless — every HTTP request is independent, no database.
