BobGuard
Problem: Modern developers frequently introduce vulnerable dependencies, exposed credentials, and flawed code patterns during rapid development. Traditional security tools run post-push or produce high false-positive noise, delaying release cycles and requiring tedious remediation. Solution: BobGuard is an autonomous AST static security analysis engine and compliance CLI built for Node.js microservices using IBM Bob 2.0. Operating directly within the engineering workflow, BobGuard performs real-time taint analysis, generates CycloneDX SBOMs, exports SARIF reporting, and applies automated patch remediations. Target Users: Node.js developers, security engineers, and DevSecOps teams who need deterministic, automated security enforcement before code merges. User Interaction: Developers run BobGuard locally or via GitHub Actions pipelines. BobGuard inspects the codebase, runs AST static analysis, flags vulnerabilities, and suggests or applies automatic patch remediations directly to the repository. Uniqueness & Impact: By pairing deep AST static analysis with IBM Bob 2.0's repository context reasoning, BobGuard eliminates false positives and automates compliance attestation—reducing security audit overhead to zero while ensuring enterprise release readiness.
