ResumeAI: In-Browser ATS Resume Analyser & Editor
Problem & Challenge: In today's recruitment landscape, over 75% of resumes are filtered out by Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) before human recruiters review them. Job applicants struggle with non-standard formatting, missing keywords, and unquantified achievements. Furthermore, cloud-based resume checkers raise privacy concerns by uploading personal data to external databases, while generic AI tools often hallucinate fabricated skills and fake job experiences. Solution & Target Users: ResumeAI is an in-browser, privacy-preserving resume evaluation, interactive optimization, and institutional analytics platform. It serves job seekers, college students, and university placement cells looking for reliable, actionable career preparation tools. User Interaction: 1. Candidate Studio: Users drag-and-drop resumes (PDF, DOCX, TXT) or paste text. In under 100ms, the system delivers a multi-dimensional ATS audit across 6 weighted dimensions: Keyword Match (30%), Experience (25%), Quantifiable Impact (20%), Education (10%), Formatting (10%), and Language Quality (5%). 2. Interactive AI Studio: Candidates inspect their score potential, compare raw vs. optimized drafts via a side-by-side split window, and refine bullet points using active verbs. 3. Pure Vector PDF Export: With one click, candidates download an ATS-compliant PDF-1.4 Type 1 vector document with clear text streams, guaranteeing 100% machine-readability. 4. Institutional Staff Portal: College placement officers can batch-upload hundreds of student resumes concurrently to view class averages, grade distributions, skill gap heatmaps, and export comprehensive multi-page institutional reports. What Makes It Creative & Unique: - 100% Client-Side & Privacy-First: All text parsing (via Mozilla PDF.js), linguistic audits, and vector PDF compilation occur locally with zero server data retention. - Anti-Hallucination Guarantee: Enforces strict provenance, polishing authentic achievements and canonicalizing existing technologies without inventing unmentioned credentials. - Dual-Audience Architecture: Bridges individual student preparation with administrative placement cell oversight in a single unified suite. Effectiveness & Impact: ResumeAI eliminates screening bottlenecks, elevates candidate ATS scores from average to 90%+, and equips educational institutions with actionable cohort analytics to maximize student career outcomes.
