SentinelDev: Autonomous Blast-Radius & CVE Engine
Modern software engineering teams face critical blind spots when applying automated security updates. Automated dependency bots alert developers to vulnerable packages, but they provide zero visibility into downstream runtime consequences. Upgrading a foundational cryptographic library or utility function often breaks calling contracts several modules deep or causes live API endpoints to silently drift from their OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Manual code review and risk assessment across transitive dependency chains is slow, error-prone, and frequently bottlenecks deployment pipelines. Our Solution: SentinelDev SentinelDev is a deterministic, multi-agent CI/CD guardian and blast-radius engine. Instead of speculative LLM guesswork, SentinelDev leverages `ts-morph` AST analysis combined with intelligent multi-agent orchestration to analyze codebases, refactor vulnerable call sites, and calculate transitive blast-radius scores before code hits production. SentinelDev deploys three specialized autonomous agents: 1. AutoRemediator: Automatically traverses the target codebase’s Abstract Syntax Tree (AST), replacing deprecated or vulnerable function invocations (such as MD5 hashing) with modern, safe alternatives in-place without altering function signature contracts. 2. BlastRadiusAuditor: Recursively traces call graphs across all TypeScript modules, calculating exact caller depth, identifying impacted downstream services, and assigning a deterministic risk classification (LOW / MED / CRITICAL). 3. DocuSync: Analyzes Express router definitions, detects unmapped API endpoints, and automatically synchronizes them into `openapi.yaml` and repository documentation. Target Users & Interaction SentinelDev is built for DevOps engineers, DevSecOps leads, and platform teams. Users interact with SentinelDev either via an interactive, developer-centric web dashboard or seamlessly within CI/CD pull request pipelines. On the dashboard, engineers can specify a local workspace or Git repository path, trigger audits, inspect unified diffs, review an interactive Mermaid.js call graph, and receive an automated PR comment breakdown. Creative Uniqueness & Efficiency Unlike standard vulnerability scanners that only match package version numbers, SentinelDev bridges static code analysis with actionable remediation. By evaluating exact AST caller references, teams eliminate human triage guesswork and achieve zero documentation drift with verifiable merge confidence.
