Devastra Trading is an autonomous options-trading agent built on Alpaca's Market API. Starting from a curated list of top market movers, the agent pulls live price and options-chain data to shortlist trade candidates. Each candidate is screened by comparing historical (realized) volatility against the options' implied volatility, surfacing mispricings where the market may be over- or under-estimating future movement. A Monte Carlo simulation then projects a distribution of expected returns for each candidate under that volatility profile. Based on the simulated expected value and the volatility discrepancy, the agent decides whether to buy or sell a put or call, executing the trade through Alpaca.
