My name is Tridibesh Sen. I’m a B.Tech Computer Science student at UEM Kolkata with a passion for building systems that bridge the gap between hardware and software. I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of making technology both intelligent and scalable, whether that means optimizing a backend API or pushing machine learning models to edge hardware. My approach to engineering is hands-on. I enjoy the process of solving complex, real-world problems by writing clean, efficient code and architecting systems that actually work under pressure.

University students frequently battle extreme academic pressure, burnout, and mental health struggles in isolation. Standard campus wellness systems rely on heavy walk-in counseling or rigid multi-step intake processes, which deters students due to fear of social stigma, privacy leaks, or administrative exposure. Consequently, university staff typically become aware of student distress only after grades plummet, attendance drops, or a severe crisis occurs. MindEase addresses this gap by acting as a privacy-first bridge between students and campus care teams. The platform replaces intimidating intake procedures with a fast, 1-tap mood check-in paired with contextual tags and optional personal notes. Students receive an encrypted, personal journal where sentiment scores remain strictly private to them, alongside a self-help hub featuring visual breathing exercises, sleep soundscapes, exam guides, and moderated anonymous peer support circles. When additional support is needed, students can book confidential, free appointments with campus counselors with one click—completely separated from their academic transcripts. For university staff, MindEase provides an aggregated counselor dashboard displaying high-level campus stress indices and exam-season trend curves. Administrators and counselors never gain access to raw journal entries. To protect student identity, data breakdowns are automatically suppressed if a group size falls below a minimum threshold. MindEase is designed for three main user roles: students, campus counselors, and duty administrators, each provided with tailored, permissioned interfaces. Students interact with a quick, low-friction mobile or web UI. Counselors monitor anonymous campus-wide stress trends and manage incoming confidential bookings. What makes MindEase unique and creative is its dual-layer safety architecture combined with strict privacy enforcement. Rather than alerting administrators at the first sign of distress, mild burnout detection prompts supportive messages directly to the student first. For acute risks, the system instantly overlays official emergency helplines (such as KIRAN 14416) on screen while routing alerts to named, on-call duty counselors bound by strict service-level response times. Every administrative flag action is recorded in an immutable audit log to prevent misuse. By replacing intrusive surveillance with trusted, actionable aggregated insights, MindEase enables early, compassionate intervention long before academic crisis strikes.
